Do you find yourself unable to finish your creative work?

  • Maybe you get distracted and end up doing the washing up rather than painting.
  • Maybe you are struggling to come up with new ideas.
  • Maybe you can’t even get down to creative work with everything else getting in the way.

But

  • Imagine getting up excited to get into the studio and start working.
  • Imagine taking the dog for a walk at lunch time and coming back full of ideas and inspiration.
  • Imagine being reluctant to stop work at the end of the day, but knowing you can come back tomorrow for another great day.

This is where The Creative Completion Programme comes in.  This 4 step programme is designed to really get into the depths of what’s stopping you from completing your work.  We then work together to create a personalised action plan to get you back doing what you love.

This is the great thing about coaching.  You don’t have to do this by yourself.  I’ll be right here all the time offering my support and guidance.  And to hold you to account on what you said you would do.

The four steps

Step 1: Define success

We’ll start by look at what success really means for you and get right into the details of your goal so you can visualise it any time you start to have doubts or dip back into bad habits.

We do this step first so you always know what you are working towards, even when it feels hard.

  • Maybe you want to come up with a new collection for your shop.
  • Maybe you’re aiming for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
  • Maybe you just want to be able to support your family with your creative work.

By clearly defining what success looks like for you, at the end of this step, you’re goal will not only feel more real and concrete, you’ll have put in place a way to envision it whenever those doubts start to come back.

Step 2: Uncover what’s really getting in the way

In this step we’ll work together to find out what’s really stopping you from finishing your work; there might be lots of reasons why you are stuck.

Maybe you just feel like you keep procrastinating, need to get more organised or find your motivation; we’ll dig deeper to find the real source of these issues.

For instance, there are lots of reasons why you might be procrastinating.  Maybe you don’t have the technical skills to complete your projects, maybe you’re enjoying this project so much you don’t want it to come to an end or maybe you’re scared of finishing and finally having to show other people.

Whatever YOUR reason, we do this step to understand what’s really going on for you so we can come up with an effective personalised action plan that will really move you from procrastinating to completion.

By the end of this step you’ll know what’s blocking you and be ready to take action to conquer it.

Step 3: Develop your action plan

In this step we will create an action plan together that meets your goals.

Starting at a high-level with each of your goals, we’ll create a plan full of bite sized actions which are easy to follow.

Maybe you’re worried a plan will be too restrictive and stifle your creativity?

By introducing personalised tools and techniques, you’ll find this is about making the space you need to be creative.

The result?  You’ll enjoy a new sense of freedom and be inspired to take action.

Step 4: Make it happen

Lets make your brilliant plan happen!

As you take action, we’ll pay attention to what’s working, what needs tweaking and what you should leave behind.

Maybe you thought you’d be able to get to your work on a Friday, but it just isn’t happening.  In this step we’ll take a closer look and see if it needs dropping from your plan or if there is a way to tackle it.

Working closely together, we’ll identify ways to adjust your plan so it truly fuels your passion and gets you finishing your work.

The result? You’ll find it easier to focus and finish your work.  You’ll be, and feel, successful in your craft.

At the end of the programme you’ll have:

  • A vision of what success looks like for you
  • An idea of where you want to be in a years time
  • A full understanding of why you keep getting stuck in your creative work
    • Including results from various coaching tools
  • A personalised action plan that you know works

The Creative Completion Programme should take about six months to complete.

With eight 50 minute session spread out over six months, it allows you time to reflect and put into practice everything we’ve worked on.

Unlike a workshop where everything happens in a morning and then is forgotten, coaching is much more of a journey.  It gives you time to process new ideas and work out how to incorporate them into your life.
